Jaime grew up in a culture and environment where children should be seen but not heard. He always had an interest in supporting the “strugglers” and coming up with proactive and positive strategies to give them a voice and change the outcome.
With over 20 years of experience and education in the welfare sector, with a specific interest in child welfare, mental health, foster care and family conflict, this experience has given him an unique perspective on our welfare and schooling systems, the affects they have on complex family situations, and how to advocate for families and specifically children to achieve the best long term results.
Oprah said “Every child needs a champion”. Jaime’s goal is to give as many children as a possible a champion, and ultimately a voice.
In 2015 Jaime founded a charity focused on helping disadvantaged children.
Jaime has now put his passion into reality – setting up Stand Up Advocacy as an avenue to support families, children, schools and the community services sector to achieve realistic outcomes.

I have known Jaime Ramos in a professional capacity for nearly two decades.
Jaime exudes passion and an undeniable vision to ensure positive outcomes, for all those fortunate enough to cross his path.
Jaime is also blessed with a terrific sense of humour and ability to quickly see the positives and opportunities in any situation.
Jaime’s knowledge of the community and education sectors, place him in the enviable position to conceptualise individualised solutions to individual concerns and deliver positive outcomes in all that he does.
To say Jaime is a passionate advocate for those in our community who are struggling, would be a vast under-statement.
I cannot recommend Jaime more highly and wish him all the best in this, his next endeavour.
